Kevin Golden built this car in 7 weeks for just over $100. Kevin tells me found most of his parts dumpster diving! This is how low-buck kustom is done. Come test your garage monster against Kevin’s and see if you can beat him at the 2016 No Gas Nationals gravity race!

KC singer, Kimberly Jazmyn Szepski will be helping again this year at the No Gas Nationals coaster brake challenge downhill race. Racers might remember her beautiful smile at the start line keeping count of race winners. She’s a doll inside and out and we sure appreciate her help.

The No Gas Nationals is the only “Run What’cha Brung” gravity event in the Midwest. There are few restrictions to what you can build as our tech rules emphasize safety not machine. Our focus is on low-buck creativity and ingenuity. Our format gives riders as many rides down the track as possible without all of the delays found in other events. If you don’t build the we hope your family will come out to watch the race and enjoy the other attractions at the event such as the 25+ local artists who will be set up, live music, start line pinups, german food, and a whole day of fun!

The No Gas Nationals run what’cha brung gravity race focuses on creativity. In keeping with that theme, The Eddies Club makes our own kustom awards for different categories. Our award for the mad scientist whose monster shows the most atristry is named after local hot rod builder and artist, Paul Kester. Paul drew the caricature of Joel Dyke for our speedo award and the brand graphic for the event fliers. Caricature drawing by local tattooist, Maegan Garvey and pinstriping/lettering by local, Hot Rod Huey (Jonathan Heuton) This would look great hanging in your monster laboratory!

Jeffrey T. Presler, pictured here with his lovely wife, Denesha, is a painter and cartoonist. At his booth you'll see bottle paintings, fan art, pop culture pieces, and custom art. This is Jeffrey's third year at the Artist Swap-N-Show and his large colorful works have become a popular attraction. You might have seen Jeffrey and Danesha in the news where news of their new additions has made a lot of people smile.
